â *QUESTION*â
*Should I pray Dhuhr AFTER I have prayed Jumuâah*â
đż *ANSWER*đż
The Friday prayer is prayed *INSTEAD* of Dhuhr on Fridays.
So thereâs NO NEED to pray Dhuhr after praying Jumuâah in congregation.
In fact itâs AGAINST the practice and teachings of the Prophet Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam.
And thereâs NO EVIDENCE of him doing that. EVER.
Whenever the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam finished praying the Jumuâah prayer, he Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam did NOT pray Dhuhr or ANY OTHER obligatory Salaah.
All he read was the Sunnah after the prayer.
Thatâs it.
Similarly, the Sahaabah also did NOT pray Dhuhr after praying Jumuâah.
And why should they?
They never saw the Prophet  praying Dhuhr on the day of Jumuâah
Nor did the Prophet  ever teach them that either.
So praying Dhuhr after praying two rakâaat of Jumuâah is NOT part of the Shareeâah.
đ Shaikh Ibn Baaz said:
âAllaah has NOT prescribed any prayer at noon time on Fridays except ONE obligatory prayer for men who are residents and are settled (i.e., not traveling), free and accountable, which is the *Jumuâah prayer*.
If the Muslims do that, then there is no other obligation upon them, be it Dhuhr or any other prayer.
*Jumuâah prayer* is the obligation of that time.â
(Majmooâ Fataawa Wa Maqaalaat Mutanawwiâah Li Samaahat, Part 12, P. 363)
đşActually itâs BIDâAH to pray Dhuhr after Jumuâah prayer and bidâah is a HUGE SIN!
đ Shaikh Ibn Baaz said:
âUndoubtedly praying Dhuhr after Jumuâah is something INNOVATED which is NOT a part of the Deen of the Prophet Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam.
So it is to be REJECTED and is to be included in the innovations and misguidance against which the Prophet Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam warned us.â
đ And he said:
âPraying Dhuhr after Jumuâah is a bidâah and a going astray, instituting a new way which Allaah has not prescribed.
We must NOT do this; we must beware of it and warn people against it, and *limit ourselves to doing Jumuâah prayer only*, as was the way of the Messenger of Allaah Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam, his companions after him and those who have followed them in truth until the present day.
This is the truth concerning which there is no doubt.â

â *QUESTION*â
*What if Iâm praying at HOME on a Friday afternoon?*
Jumuâah prayer is ONLY VALID when praying in congregation in the MASJID.
Reading two rakâaat of Jumuâah prayer is NOT VALID at home.
So if youâre a woman, or a traveler or sick etc and youâre not praying in the masjid on Friday afternoon for some reason, then you have to pray *Dhuhr* at home, just as you would any other day.
And Allaah knows best
